BIOGRAPHY: [email protected] Date: Sat, 6 Jan 2007 14:53:27 EST Subject: Knight Information To: [email protected] Henry Johnson Knight (1866-1936) was my great grandfather. In 1915, Dwight Davenport, Ed Knigsley and Henry Knight took up mineral claims on the Bald Eagle Mine in Gustine, California.

My grandfather, Jess Wehe (1900-1976) met and married Henry's daughter, Hazel E. Knight (1904-1930). Jess was doing some mining work at the Bald Eagle Mine. Hazel and Jess had four children: Vernon Jess Wehe (1922-1973), twins Ronald Arton (1926-living) and Donald Arlton Wehe (1926-2000), and Charlotte Hazel Wehe (1929-2005).

Donald Arlton Wehe was my father. Hazel died in 1930 when my father was about 4 years old. Hazel died from pneumonia, I believe. There was some kind of trouble or misunderstanding between the Knights and my grandfather Jess. Communication between the Wehe's and the Knight's was lost shortly after Hazel's death. So, I don't have a lot of information about the Knights. Your web site has been a wealth of information for me.

Thank you for your web site!
