    Hazel was the daughter of Melissa Phillips Clouston Gates, and Hugh Clouston. Step-daughter of Andrew Jackson Gates.

    Hazel married James Miller Crumrine on Dec. 16, 1919 in Parkersburg, Wood County, W.Va. James was the son of Samuel and Dora Anthony Crumrine. He was born July 21, 1891 in Washington County, Ohio, and died May 19, 1957. They had three children, two died as infants and one living and is today a grandparent herself.

    After Hazel retired and many years of being alone, she married Edward Kesterson sometime after 1950 and enjoyed life together for many years until his death, when she moved to Modesto California to be close to her daughter & family.

    She lived to the age of 91 years.

    Hazel was my Half-aunt.
