Funeral services for Hazel Grace Wheat, 72, were held Monday, March 28, [1966] at 2 p.m. in the Monona Methodist church with Rev. Paul V. Clements officiating. Burial was at the Monona I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Hazel Grace Wheat, daughter of Isaac and Frances Collier Cunningham, was born in Giard Township, Clayton county on November 28, 1893. She passed away at 7 a.m. on March 25, 1966 following a pulmonary embolism. She attained the age of 72 years, 3 months, and 26 days.

Mrs. Wheat was educated in the Giard Township school.

She was united in marriage to Albert J. Wheat on April 15, 1919 in Monona.

She was a member of the Monona Methodist church and the Woman's Society of Christian Service.

Preceeding her in death were her parents; her husband on April 24, 1944; her brothers George, Dan, Will and James; and her sister Mae Hazlett.

Surviving are her daughters: Mary Sandilauds of Sydney, Australia, June Jones of Seattle, Wash., her son Joe Wheat of Olympia, Wash. and her sister Caroline Campbell and nine grandchildren.

Music at the services was provided by a duet consisting of Mrs. Tom James and Mrs. James Ge_____, accompanied by organist, Mrs. Ivon J. Schultz.

Pallbearers were Herbert Wagner, Edward Haag, Wendell Baskerville, Vern Koth, Robert Ferguson, Fred J. Peglow, Carl Williams, and Elg__e Ferguson.
