    Interment 21 Oct 1970. Further info. from FAG member Lee Ashmore tells us that Hattie was the oldest (age 93) attendee at the 1963 Hatch-Hopkins family reunion and continued that distinction until she died at the age of 101 in 1970. These family reunions began around 1916.

    Hattie Adele Frair Hatch and her mother, Hattie Hatch Frair, were both Hattie Hatch. Confusing.

    Mrs. Hatch Succumbs at 100
    Portville -- Mrs. Hattie A. Hatch of 34 Brooklyn St., who was 100 years old Dec. 8, 1969, died Sunday (Oct. 18, 1970) at St. Francis Hospital following a short illness.
    Mrs. Hatch, who had led an active civic life until the last five years, resided by herself at 37 1/2 Brooklyn St. until about two years ago. She and her husband were active in the oil business when it was so predominant in the Little Genesee-Bolivar area, residing on a lease in Coon Hollow.
    She was born Dec. 8, 1869, in Independance Township, Allegany County, a daughter of Matthew and Harriet Hatch Frair. On Oct. 11, 1893, she married Orson Hatch at Portville, who died April 1939. She had resided in the Portville-Bolivar area for the past 90 years.
    Mrs. Hatch was a member of the Portville United Methodist Church for the past 57 years.
    Surviving are a son, Reuben L. Hatch of Portville, with whom she made her home; three grandsons and six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
    Friends may call at the Guenther Funeral Home Inc., 51 S. Main St., beginning today from 7-9 and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be hled there Wednesday (Oct. 21, 1970) at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. William Pettibon, pastor of the Portville United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery at Portville.
    Memorials may be made, if desired, to the Portville United Methodist Church.
