Hassie A. Ramsey Funeral services for Hassie A. Ramsey, 95, of Collinsville, were held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 2, 2002, at First Baptist Church of Collinsville. Rev. Jerry Davis and Rev. Harold Watson officiated. Interment was in Collinsville Cemetery under the direction of Huff Funeral Home. She died Thursday, November 28, 2002 in Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman. Pallbearers were Richard Ramsey, Marcus Terry, Scott Terry, Tommy Brock, Jerry Armstrong, Jimmy Armstrong, and Larry Carney. Born in Arkansas September 8, 1907, she was the daughter of the late Thomas S. Brock and Rosie J. Steward Brock. She married J.Z. Ramsey March 20, 1925 in Hagerman, Texas. He preceded her in death. A member of First Baptist Church in Collinsville, she was a homemaker. Survivors are a daughter and son-in-law, Anne and Ralph Terry, Southmayd, Texas; two sisters, Artha Williams, Marlow, Oklahoma, and Pauline Armstrong, Collinsville; sister-in-law, Mary Ramsey, Houston, Texas; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Eura Cook; brother, Floyd Brock; son, Morris D. Ramsey; and granddaughter, Donna Jaye Terry.
