    "Harvey J. Wambold, 79, of 1205 Three Mile Run road, Perkasie, a retired police chief of Perkasie borough and a policeman for 42 years, died Tuesday in Grand View Hospital, Sellersville.
    He was the husband of Mary (Orr) Wambold.
    Born in Sumneytown, he was a son of the late Noah and Susanna (Schwager) Wambold.
    Wambold had been Perkasie police chief for seven years, Bucks County detective for nine years, Perkasie Borough constable for 21 years and a patrolman for the Sellersville police department for five years.
    He was the director of the former drum and bugle corps of VFW Post No. 245, and a past commander of the Hartzell-Crouthamel American Legion Post No. 280, Perkasie.
    He was an Army veteran of World War I.
    He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sumneytown.Surviving besides his widow are a daughter, M. Lorraine, at home, and a brother, Howard of Conshohocken.
    Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Moyer Funeral Home, 623 Market st., Perkasie. Calling hours will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday."

    Mrs. Hartman was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Sellersville.Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Lola V. Myers, North Hollywood, Calif.; two sons, Millard V. Hartman, souderton; Glenn H. Hartman, Perkasie RD2; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Quil Hoffman, Pennsburg; Mrs. Kate Grebe, Lansdale; two brothers, Howard Wambold, Conshohocken, and Harvey Wambold, Perkasie RD.
    Services were on Wednesday afternoon."
