Harry Tullis, 85, of Ogden, Utah, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004, at his home. He was born in Sept. 13, 1918, in Leon. He married Elizabeth Wood Aug. 29, 1942. Mr. Tullis graduated from Iowa State University in Ames, then served in the United States Navy during World War II. A civil engineer with the United States Forest Service, he designed roads, trails and support systems from Idaho to Nevada. He went on to become administrator of the U.S. Forest Service Region 4 headquarters in Ogden. Survivors include his wife; two daughters; one brother, James Tullis of Fairfield; and one sister, Sally Pettus of Kansas City, Mo. He was preceded in death by one brother, Jack Tullis; and one sister, Patty Church. References
