    Henry Sherwood, familiarly known as Harry Sherwood, was born in Brooklyn, N. Y., April 12, 1854 and came with his parents to York Prarie, Cedar County in April 1856. He remained on the farm until of age and then he went to Tabor, Iowa where he engaged in business and resided for a number of years. Six years ago he engaged in business in Tipton. He was an industrious and hard working man of a disposition and character which made him many firends. He was married to Agnes L. Stayner, June 15, 1898 who together with three children survive him. His death, due to an attack of typhoid, occurred Nov. 7, 1902. The funeral services were held Monday Nov. 12th., conducted by Rev. Pratt. The internment was in Masonic cemetery.
