    Harriett was five years old when, in Sept. 1836, this Shane family removed from Lockport, N.Y., and moved to Michigan, locating upon a farm in Bronson, now Noble township, in Branch county.

    On February 27, 1851, Harriett married Emanuel Himebaugh. They were parents of ten children.
