[1873] Nov. 13, Sixteen Mile Stand, Hamilton Co., OH. Ada Wyckoff Hopkins wrote her cousin Jane Love: "I received a letter from cousin Ella last week . . . She had not heard from Texas or Calafornia for some time and I have neglected writing for so long that I scarcely know how to direct my letters. Harriets address was Denton, Denton Co. Texas and Sidney Jane Greggs, Santa, Rosa, Calafornia / I think I will write again before long as we would like to hear from them."

Lizzie Mercer wrote her niece Jane Love: "you wanted to know what kind of a man martha had maried / he is a hard working (?)industrious man but he is not very healthy or was not when we lived near them / he was hurt prety badly before they went to texas and he never looked like the same man afterwards / have writen to martha and ? got not word from her yet and aha(?) to hariet "

Love wrote his sister Jane: "you wanted to know how I liked Wilkinsons / I think much of them / Aunt Harriett was a fine Old Lady and uncle Jack cant be Beat, and Bell is as fine a young woman as you would want to see / I have Been aiming to write to her for a long time But it seems as I cant get time / what did she say they were all doeing / I would like to see them / uncle Jack Especialy"

She dide very sudant althou she had bin in poor health for a bout three years. She had lung diseize. She seemed as well as she had had bin for some weeks the day she dide until fifteen miniuets before.
