Harold R Stroman Stoman Implement CO owner/operator Longtime Fostoria resident Harold R Stroman, 76, died at 2:38 p.m. Monda y, June 28, 1999, at his home at 1423 Longboat Point, Inverness, Fla. He was born in Fostoria Nov. 27, 1922, to Harry Ralph and Cena Mae (Yeasti ng) Stroman. On Sept. 9, 1943, in the First Church of God, Findlay, he mar ried his wife of 55 years, Ardinelle J (Thomas) Stroman, who died Ja n. 26 of this year. Survivors include: a son, H Robert Stroman of Fostoria; two daughters, Mr s. Ira (Nancy Ann) Stroman Sleasman of Powell, Wyo, and Seattle, Wash, a nd Mrs. Dr. Trifon (Marcia Jo) Dalkalitsis of Inverness; six grandchildre n; two brothers, Jack R Stroman of Austin, TX, and Dr. Duane F Strom an of Huntington, Pa.; a sister, Lenore Stroman of Naples, Fla.; and ma ny nieces and nephews. Mr. Stroman, joined his father in operating the Stroman Implement Co, Fost oria, following his return from the service. He then owned and operated t he business, working with his wife for 40 years, retiring in 1984. He also was a farmer in the Arcadia area until he joined the U.S Navy duri ng World War II. He trained at Great Lakes Naval Center in IL and at Aviat ion Ordinance training in Norman, Okla. He was stationed at the Naval A ir Base in Puerto Princesa, Palarvan, Phillippines as a Seaman First Class . He had attended Fostoria High School for two years, then transferred to Ar cadia High School, where he graduated in 1940. Mr. Stroman was an active member of the Fostoria Lions Club, a member of t he Lakeland Golf Club and a former member of Wesley United Methodist Chur ch of Fostoria. The Rev. Branson Hawkes will be the officiant at the 10:30 a.m. Friday ser vice in the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria. Interment will be in Memo ry Gardens, near Arcadia.
