Arden Perkins Former Fostorian Arden M Perkins, 70 Atlanta, Ga, formerly of Fostoria, died Jan 5, 2000

She was born Dec.13, 1929 in Seneca CO to Wm and Loraine (Cline) Lockar t. She married Jack Perkins and he survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Shawn Perkins and Paige Price, both of A tlanta, Ga.; a sister, Karen Purser , San Francisco, Calif, and two grandc hildren.

Mrs. Perkins retired in 1994 as a procurement officer for the Centers f or Disease Control.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. today at H.M Patterson and Sons Oglethor pe Hill Chapel 4550 Peachtree Rd N E Atlanta Ga. 30319.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the chapel.

Memorials may be made to the American cancer Society.

BETTY J PETERSON

Betty J Peterson, 83, of Judson Palmer Home, 2911 N Main St, died at 2 p. m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2000 at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center.

She was born April 16, 1916 in Hancock CO to George C and Gail (Swisher) R omick. She married John C Gary, and they divorced. She then married Albe rt R Peterson, and he died March 18, 1994.

Survivors include two sons, George M Gary, Fostoria; Terry D Gary, Findla y; a stepson, David Peterson of TX; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Elmer (Mary Jan e) Brooker, Findlay; nine grandchildren; 15 stepgrandchildren; 12 great-gr andchildren; 12 stepgreat-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a nd three stepgreat-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandchild; and two brothers, Rex and Robe rt Romick.

Mrs. Peterson was a former waitress who worked in Lima and McComb.

She was a Liberty-Benton High School graduate and was a member of St. Paul 's United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Paul's United Method ist Church, the Rev. Gregory W Creech officiating. Burial will be in Map le Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. today at Coldren-Crates Funeral Hom e, and an hour before services Friday at the church.

Risser-Stepp, Florence E Former insurance owner

Florence E Risser-Stepp, 87, of 11890 W TR 35, Fostoria, died at 12:15 p. m. Friday, Feb. 18, 2000, at Independence House, Fostoria.

She was born in Fostoria Feb. 11, 1913, to Frederick and Myrtle Rainey. S he first married Beryl Risser Sept. 27, 1931. He died Dec. 4, 1978. She ma rried Arlie Stepp Jan 1, 1981. He died in December 1992.

Survivors include: four daughters, Mrs. Wm (Beryl "Lee") Brown of Fostori a, Mrs. Duane (Joyce) Davis of Greentown, Ind, Mrs. Robert (Elizabeth "Bet ty") Galloway of Union City MI, and Mrs. Neil (Claire "Elaine") Hossl er of Fostoria; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three step-grand children; eight great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harold Rain ey of Arcadia and Charles Rainey of Elyria; three sisters, Clara Eathert on and Hazel Shook of FL, and Mary Nunguester of Arlington.

Two brothers, Roy and Cecil Rainey, and a sister, Mabel Rainey are decease d.

She was the former owner of Risser-Hossler Insurance Agency in Fostori a; a homemaker; and a member of the Maranatha Baptist Church in Sebring, F la.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostor ia, with the Pastor Robert Chew officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Me morial Gardens, Avon Park, Fla.

Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Predmore, Eva Marie Former restaurant owner Fostorian's Sister

Eva Marie Predmore, 71, of 409 High St, Carey, died at 7:15 a.m. Sunday, F eb. 20, 2000, in Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay.

She was born in Wharton, April 15, 1928, to Allen A and Fairy (Howard) Bak er. Her first husband, Russell P Chester, is deceased. She later married R onald M Roynon and they were divorced. On Jan. 30, 1954, in Angola, Ind, s he married Donald N Predmore, who survives.

Survivors also include: two sons, Russell P Chester of Mt. Blanchard and C asey Roynon of Carey; three daughters, Mrs. Roger (Cheryl) Hayward of Curt ice, Mrs. Larry (Vickie) Myers and and Mrs. Jim (Jackie) Ritter, both of C arey; a step-son, Mark Turner of Rowlette, TX; a step-daughter, Ms. Dar la Turner of Springfield, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; four brothers, Wayne a nd Frank Baker, both of Wharton, Chuck Baker of Mira Loma, Calif. and Dav id Baker of Andrew, TX; four sisters, Kathryn Chester of Sycamore, Gail Mc Kelvey of Fostoria and Judy Wood and Jane Ogg, both of Carey.

Two brothers, John and Frederick Baker, also are deceased.

Mrs. Predmore, the former owner of My Place Restaurant in Carey, was a mem ber of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Carey.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Christ Evangelical Lutheran Churc h, with the Rev. Paul E DeMoss and Vicar Patty Heath officiating. Burial w ill be in Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey.

Visitation is 2-9 p.m. today at the funeral home and 10-11 a.m. Tuesd ay at the church.

Peiffer, Oleta M Fostorian's Mother

Oleta M Peiffer, 75, of Tiffin, died at 5:20 p.m. Monday, Feb. 21, 200 0, in the Autumnwood Care Center.

She was born in New Riegel, June 17, 1924, to Rubert and Stella (Scherge r) Schultz. On Sept. 2, 1944, in St. Boniface Catholic Church, New Riege l, she married Wilfred E Peiffer, who died Dec. 26, 1981.

Survivors include: a son, Larry E Peiffer of Fostoria; a daughter, Mrs. Ga ry (Elaine S) Smith of New Riegel; five grandchildren; five great-grandchi ldren; and three sisters, Mrs. Lucille Hickman and Mrs. Leonard (Eileen) B rickner, both of Fostoria, and Mrs. Francis (Susie) Lucius of New Riege

A brother, Rubert Schultz Jr, is deceased.

A homemaker, Mrs. Peiffer was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fo storia.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Wendel in Catholic Church, where the rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. Burial wi ll be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostori a, where a Christian Wake service will be at 8:30 p.m. today.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Rasey, Harold G Fostoria native

Harold Glenn Rasey, 86, of Loveland, Colo, died Thursday, March 9, 200 0, in Poudre Valley Hospital, Fort Collins, Colo.

He was born Aug. 19, 1913, in Fostoria, to Benjamin H and Winifred (Krame r) Rasey. On Aug. 3, 1940, in Seneca CO he married Louise Burns. She survi ves.

Other survivors include: a son, Howard L Rasey of Loveland; a daughter, Mr s. Wm E (Virginia M) Hammons of Loveland; two grandchildren and a great-gr andson; four nephews and a niece.

He also was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma McClellan.

Mr. Rasey, a U.S Army Air Force veteran, serving 1942-45 in the European T heatre during World War II, worked 1957-78 as a machinist at Coors Porcela in Ceramics in Golden, Colo .

He lived in Denver, Colo, 1957-79, before moving to Loveland.

A member of the Loveland VFW Post 41 and St. John the Evangelist Cathol ic Church, he enjoyed woodworking, fishing, camping, playing cards and pol ka music.

A funeral Mass was Monday in St. John's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Jos eph Hartmann as celebrant. Burial was in Resthaven Memory Gardens, N of Lo veland.
