After the death of his father in 1764, Ulrich remained on the home place, as indicated in the Will of Andreas. Ulrich continues on tax records for Lower Saucon Twp., in 1767, 1769, 1770, 1773. In 1773 he is identified as a "farmer" (not a Miller), with 50 acres cleared, 50 acres wood, 2 horses, 2 cows. He served in the Revoloutionary War in 1777 as a Private in the 1st Batallian, Northampton, Militia. Ulrich Brinker dieed 20 June 1785 at 59 years, leaving wife Appollonia and 6 childreh: Andreas (Andrew) Margaret, Jacob, Adam, John and George, the last four still minors who were appointed guardians.
