From Thea Berg's records:

Hans Berg b. 1788 d ca 1840 g.m. Berthe Gjefle owned Ankaltrud at Norsinden and living there. It is beautiful place. where hr. Rognerud live. They held saadannt gjestfrit house. Sweet, they were both. But it will be good for intægter to be very gjæstfri, and I've never heard that here. His was an accomplished man. He duende shown that most of the host. And everyone would like to besøge his house. One has the mundheld from his house: "There comes a dog, hurry you that put the coffee on this." Road derop hidden partly out of trees, and the dog was like a little Besides his for his master. To promote the skim milk stacks, so the butter was there lidet. This could well be the ubetydeligste, but it illustrates the relationship. House time and fortune went to excessive selskablighed. In the war years after the father where so many officers who had deropover lidet or nothing to do. The havede time so pretty to his raadighed and loved kalads old ungkarler and partly drukkenboldter. They were here. Hans's venner.Tonen between them was not lucky. Selskabligheden went out drinking at, and hr. H was drikfældig. He got at a most distressing ways, his death. Middle of the night he was gaaet out of the kitchen in order to find him a glare that comes on pibe. Mon had not at that time the matches. He was dazed in the head after evening selskabelighed. All others were gaaede to bed. A pile was glowing under the ashes nedgravne that hold to the morning. It lay inside the inner course, the broad fireplace. As he appeared to bøiede with ildtangen that naa it, dropped his balance, fell right up into it and lay. When one finally missing him and catch him, he was so forbrændt that he died of his wounds.

His wife had known a brave existence, for the daughters were very agtværdige. Married 1791 [Sources 24,45] Berthe Gjefle. [Sources 51, 24]
