Full text of the marker: “Here rest the remains of BAILEY DAVIS, Born Nov. 19, 1776, Died Oct. 25, 18[blank]. & HANNAH SWAN, His wife Born April 19, 1782, Died Jan. 1, 1820. And two of their sons, viz. CALEB BAILEY, Born Jan. 16, 1803, Died June 22, 1806. CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS, Born Dec. 18, 1804, Died Dec. 2, 1808. All of Methuen. Erected in 1842, by JOHN DAVIS.”
