"… On 26 Dec. 1749, administration on the estate of Mrs. Hannah Newberry alias Merriman, late of Windsor, deceased, was granted to Roger Wolcott and Elizabeth Newberry. The inventory of her real estate taken 11 Jan. 1749/50 and 20 Nov. 1750, mentions nearly a thousand acres in Windsor, Simsbury, Barkhamsted, Torrington, Harwinton, and Colebrook. On 4 Feb. 1752, the court ordered the estate distributed among her heirs, as follows: Inventory £5804-3-8; Debts £907-2-4; Net estate to be distributed, £4989-1-4; To the heirs of Capt. Roger Newberry, £3326-0-10; To Roger Wolcott, jun. and his wife Marah, £1668-0-5."

Court Record, Page 113—26 December, 1749: This Court grant Adms. on the estate of Mrs. Hannah Newbery, late of Windsor, unto Roger Wolcott and Elizabeth Newbery.
Page 15 (Vol. XVI) 22 February, 1750-1: Report of the administrators, and no debts being due, move for a distribution of the estate.
Page 53—4 February, 1752: An account of administration was now exhibited by Roger Wolcott and Elizabeth Newbery, which account is accepted. The Court now appoint Matthew Rockwell, Erastus Wolcott and Moses Loomis, Jr., distributors to distribute the estate to the surviving heirs, as follows:
Inventory, £5894-03s-08d; The debts subtracted therefrom, 907-02-04; There remains to be distributed the sum of 4989-01-04; Viz: To the heirs of Capt. Roger Newbery, 3326-00-10; To Roger Wolcott, Jr., Esq., and his wife Marah, 1663-00-05
And make return thereof to this Court."
