  2. Lincoln's History of the Town of Hingham has, in the family of the first Joseph Peck, Samuel, Israel and Hannah Peck baptized at Hingham 19 July 1646. This is undoubtedly based on the Hobart journal entry (see NEHGR 121 [1967] : 19. That journal entry does not identify parents of these three. Ira Peck, in A Genealogical History of the Descendants of Joseph Peck, 14, and Donald Lines Jacobus in The Ancestry of Lorenzo Ackley and his wife Emma Arabella Bosworth, 14, do not include them but include the Samuel and Israel who were baptized previously at Hingham. One suspects that this trio were not children of Joseph Peck and the journal entry could have been misread, or referred to someone else.
