The daughter of David and Hannah (Adams), Hannah was born in Harpersfield, Delaware Co., New York on 25 Mar 1827. Her grandfather Isaac Patchin was a prominent patriot in the Revolutionary War. It is said that along with several others, he was taken prisoner and marched to Niagara by Brant, the Indian Chief. She married James Sutton Peters, the son of Daniel & Elizabeth (Jerome) on 21 May 1849 and they were the parents of eight sons. Her husband James passed away in 1893 and Hannah passed on 28 Jun 1904. They are laid to rest in the Stevens Cemetery in Harpersfield, New York.
