Hannah Marshall was baptised on 26th January 1735 at Hawksworth in Nottinghamshire, daughter of Edward Marshall and his wife Hannah.

On 1st August 1758, aged 23, she married a weaver called Henry Bonser at Hawksworth. They went on to have four children baptised at Hawksworth between 1759 and 1768.

The family was still living at Hawksworth in 1777, when Henry's mother wrote her will.

Some time between 1777 and 1787 the family moved about three miles west to the village of Car Colston. Hannah died aged 52, and was buried at Car Colston on 1st February 1787. Henry survived her by seven years.
