Hannah was director of the woman's division of United Jewish Appeal of Greater New York at the time of her death. She had served on the boards of The Federation of Jewish Women's Organizations in New York, the Great Neck Hadassah, and the Jewish Community Council of Great Neck. For 14 years she was chairman of the religious school of Temple Beth-El in Great Neck.
