Crane, 94, of Manor Care Nursing Center, Dubuque, formerly of Hanover, Ill., died Saturday morning, May 26, 1990, at Mercy Health Center, St. Joseph's Unit. Services will be at 10:30 am Tuesday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, both in Hanover, Ill. Friends may call from 6 to 9 pm Monday at Miller Funeral Home, 1185 Route 35 N., East Dubuque, Ill., where the rosary will be said at 8 pm. Friends may also call from 9 to 10:30 am Tuesday at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Hanover. Mrs. Crane was a homemaker. She was born on Nov. 24, 1895, in LaMotte, Iowa, daughter of Nicholas and Katherine (Welter) Ehlinger. She married Joseph M. Crane on Nov. 21, 1921, in LeMars, Iowa; he died in January 1960. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Surviving are seven grandchildren, Jerry Joe Sullivan of East Dubuque, Luanne Sullivan of Hanover, Thomas Sullivan of St. Paul, Minn., Jacqueline Crawford of Dubuque, Candice Marie of Fayetteville, Ark., and David and Paul Crane Jr., both of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and 10 great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by two sons and one daughter. |
