Mrs. Ira Austin, who bad been in poor uealh for several months, died Tuesday at her home in this town, aged 78 years. Mer maiden name was Huldah Dence, Hud she was a sister oi the late John Dence. of Lowville. The greater part of Vr life was spent in this town. She was for many years a member of the Methodist church, and a faithful, conscientious

Christian. Besides her husband, who is
critically ill, she is survived by four sons,

George Austin, of Lowville; William D. 1 Austin, of New York; I. John Austin, •of Denmark, and Charles B. Austin, of Watertown; also one daughter, Mrs." -George H. Van Dusen. The funeral services will be held at one o'clock this

afternoon, Rev. Albert P. Palmer officiating,

and interment will be made at Booneville
