NOTE: The source cited for the identification of Jonathan Whipple's second wife Anna as Hannah Darling is John Osborne Austin's 1887 Genealogical Dictionary of Rhode Island. Torrey also identifies Jonathan's second wife as Anna/Hannah Darling, with a question mark after Darling. Great Migration Begins indicates that Jonathan's will names his wife as Anne, but that her maiden name is unknown.
