    In Jonesboro, on the 16th last, Mrs. C. H. Drexler, aged 22 years.
    Christiana Hannah was the daughter of Mr. E. Beisingwert, and the wife of Mr. John Drexler. She was raised in this city, and has a large circle of friends who sympathize with the relatives in their bereavement.

    JOHN DREXLER
    John, son of J. G. and Mclena Drexler, was born in Wurtemburg, Germany, Nov. 4, 1848. He came to this country with his parents when about 16 years of age. They settled in Missouri and John afterwards came to Jonesboro. He was married in 1877 to Miss Hannah Beisswingert, who died in the same year. In 1879 he married Miss Rosa Ecker. To them were born five children, four of whom survive the father. He was for many years engaged in the butchering business in Jonesboro, and in his young manhood was the picture of strength and vigor. But he never spared himself, worked hard and was careless about his health. He was taken sick about a week before his death, but his condition did not become alarming until a couple of days before the end. He died Monday, April 27, 1896, at the age of 47 years, 5 months and 23 days. Besides the wife and children he leaves a brother, Wm. G. Drexler, and a sister, Mrs. Fred Sagey, living here. He was a kind hearted man, always ready to assist the afflicted or to do a friend a good turn.
