    Hannah Ball Goss.

    Hannah Goss
    wife of Mr. Philip Goss,
    died augst 18th 1811,
    in her 84 year.
[Note: 84th year, so age 83, so born about 1728. Memorial page is a classic case of creating an error by assigning more precision than is appropriate. We know from cited sources, Hannah's birth is 1731, and age of death is one of the flakier measurements there is, usually plus or minus 1 year at best, if no age inflation takes place as happened here. Yet the memorial page shows a birth of "Aug 1727" based on taking the precise age 84 (instead of more correct 83), assuming "and zero months", and subtracting that from the death date. (Note: not harmless: hampered searching until came across Source:Williams, Alicia Crane. Stone-Gregg Genealogy.)]

  4. "Hannah Goss" named in her father's will of 19 Oct 1748 [see Middlesex Probate 918]. Hannah is not the sister of the Abigail Ball who married John Goss, as is sometimes stated. They are cousins.
