Obituaries--Friday, March 30, 2007 OAK HILL — Hallie Gaye Jackson, 93, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2007, at Raleigh General Hospital. Born Dec. 10, 1913, at Wingina, Va., she was the daughter of the late Durfey Turner Mann and Mary Margaret Johnson Mann. Hallie was preceded in death by her husband, William Miller Jackson Sr.; a brother, George Mann; and two sisters, Lillian Haze and Retta Jennings. Hallie was a member of the Oak Hill United Methodist Church. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, William M. Jackson Jr. and his wife, Lois R. Jackson, of Charleston, Brenda Gaye Thios and husband, John T. Thios, of Colonial Heights, Va., and Mike Jackson and wife, Dana Jackson, of Pawleys Island, S.C.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Gladys Leonard of Huntington. Her remains rest at High Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, 1435 E. Main St., Oak Hill, where service will be 2 p.m. Saturday with Dr. John R. Sauvage and the Rev. William Slates officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before service Saturday. Interment will be in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Arrangements by High Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill.
