Goddard, 73, a retired coal miner of Danese, died Sunday at 7:30 pm in an Oak Hill hospital after an extended illness. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Nancy Ann Goddard; four daughters, Mrs. Ora Fox of Beelick Knob, Mrs. Glenna Linkous of Sullivan, and Mrs. Birdie Lilly and Mrs. Goldie Pugh of Maplewood; one son, Orval of Danese; two brothers, Joe of Chicago and Edgar of Meadow Bridge; and 30 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 pm in the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home chapel in East Rainelle with the Rev. Ernest Barley of Bradley officiating. Burial will follow in the End of the Trail Cemetery in Clintonville.
