    Guilford L. Hutchins, a resident of North Loup for nearly 75 years, died Monday, July 26, at his home. He was 90 years old.

    Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Seventh Day Baptist Church in North Loup. Burial followed in the North Loup Cemetery. Reverend Francis Saunders, pastor of the church, officiated. Pallbearers were Dean, Dale, Edward, Donald and Floyd Hutchins and Edward Christensen. All are grandsons and nephews of Mr. Hutchins. Music was furnished by Mr. and Mrs. Donald Clements and Mr. and Mrs. George Cox accompanied by Mrs. Harlan Brennick.

    During his first few years in North Loup, Mr. Hutchins worked in the pump and well business and on a farm. Later he traveled, selling windmills, until his retirement in 1939 at the age of 75.

    Mr. Hutchins was born Nov. 29, 1863, at Trenton, Minn. He was a son of Alonzo and Rosetta Weed Hutchins. He came to North Loup in 1884 and on Dec. 20, 1890, was married to Myra A. Crandall.

    Five children were born to the couple. Two survive. Mrs. Hutchins survives, as do a son, George, of Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter, Mrs. H. V. Fox , of Gary, Ind. Five grandsons and a great-granddaughter also survive.
