At the time of his marriage he lived at 114 Liberty St., Oswego. His marriage certificate lists his mothers maiden name as:Paquette(French for Perkins). Grover used to have fun & joke with his cousin Lauri Monette. Grover met Emma at a ballgame in Oswego. Source:Emma Labarge Grover was the bestman for the wedding of Foster Perkins and Mabel Wills, June 10. OBITUARY (Wednesday April 11, 1990 Palladium-Times) Grover E. Labarge, 79, of 108 West Seventh St., died Wednesday at the Oswego Hospital. He was born in Oswego, the son of the late John and Adelaine(Perkins) Labarge. He lived in Oswego all his life, and worked as an electrician at the Oswego Steam Station(Niagara Mohawk Power Corp.)for many years. Mr. Labarge was a graduate of Oswego High School. He was a communicant and usher at St. Mary's Church. He was a member of the Niagara Mohawk Retired Employees Association and its 25 year club. He is survived by his wife, the former Emma Dowie of Oswego; a son, Edward of Nedrow; a daughter Mrs. Edward(Adeline)Martin of Melbourne, Fl.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 9;30am Tuesday at Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home and at 10:00am at St. Mary's Church. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. References
