Obituary ---Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hosler are sadly bereaved in the death of their little son, Grover C. Hosler, which occurred at their home on Gaston street, early last Saturday evening, Jan. 28, 1898, after an illness of but a few hours. He was at school as usual last Friday, but was taken ill some time during the night. A physician was called in the morning and he arose and was about the house, enjoying his dinner as only a boy can. Toward night he again became worse an died about seven o'clock, meningitis being the cause of death. Deceased was aged seven years, eight months and sixteen days. He was a bright little fellow, a general favorite with all. Funeral services were held at the house Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Rev. Dr. Beauchamp officiating. His teachers and schoolmates attended the services, as did also the employees of Bliss & Suydam, and many other sympathizing friends. In their sorrow the whole community extends sympathy and condolence. Card of Thanks In the death of our little son, Grover, there were gathered to us many friends, whose kindness in our sad bereavement will be cherished ever in grateful remembrance. To all of these we desire to express our thanks. and to the teachers and schoolmates of our boy we would also convey an expression of gratitude for their floral tributes and other evidences of sympathy.
