Grafton Shedenhelm came to Seneca CO OH when a young man & bought abo ut 700 acres of land which was all woods. About1861-2 he built a brick hou se & most of his second family were raised in it. When he died on Mar ch 29 1882 the land was divided up between his children, Lucinda & Frank g ot the land with the brick house on it and they sold it in about two yea rs to Thomas Earl, about 1885. After his wife Mary died, Grafton married h er half-sister Caterine & had a second family. Grafton moved to Iowa & bou ght 400 acres ther & four of his children by his first wife settled in Io wa with him
