Grace McVey, 95, Indianapolis, passed away November 27, 2008. Grace was born in Indianapolis, the youngest of 12 children, to the late Dr. Thomas and Grace Krumrine McVey on Jan. 3, 1913, and was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School, Madame Blaker's College of Education and received her B.S. and Masters degrees from Butler University. She was a teacher in IPS for 36 years, originally in School #4 and retiring in 1982 from School #9 as well as having taught for 4 years in Bremen, IN. Grace was a lifelong resident of Irvington and was a member of the Irvington Presbyterian Church where she was active in the Presbyterian Women's group, taught music, and volunteered.
