It is through Grace's line that later generations would try and connect this branch of the Jennings family with a vast estate of a long deceased Sir William Jennings which dragged along in Chancery Court for well over a century and was the basis for the Jarndice vs Jarndice case in the novel Bleak House by Charles Dickens. The later Harveys put considerable money into efforts to collect, however were unsuccessful, and may have lead to the impoverishment of Samuel and Elizabeth Beeson Harvey in the later part of the 19th century.
