Adrian WISSE and Grace Baxter WISSE had at least three children: Barbara, Harriet and Adrian. Grace contracted Tuberculosis when she was about 32 years when her children were young. Barbara had contracted Tuberculosis from her mother and was admitted to a TB Sanitarium. When she was 18 years old she was released from the sanitarium on the condition that she had a home to go to. After corresponding with Charles and Ruth Baxter Reed, Barbara went to live with them. Ruth Baxter REED was a sister to Grace Baxter WISSE.
