G. Cecil Baxter and Hattie (Harriet) Goble were married January 20, 1892, in Watkins, New York, according to their Bible. Cecil was 37 years old and Hattie was 31.
They lived and farmed in Milo, Yates, New York, where Cecil's parents and grandparents also farmed.
In 1900, Cecil was renting and probably helped out with the farming on his father's farm. In 1910, Cecil and Hattie lived in a rented home on Head Street, and he was working on someone else's farm, probably his parents farm.
In 1920, Cecil was 65 years old, renting a home on Jacob Street, Milo, and he lists his occupation as a manager of a store. Hattie stayed at home as was customary, and ran the household.
