Obituaries
MRS. GRACE LAUG DIES AFTER LINGERING ILLNESS
- Mrs. Grace Laug, wife of Harm Laug, Jr., died Friday afternoon, April 14, at her home, after a long illness.
- Born in Hanover, Germany, on April 22, 1870, Mrs. Laug came to the United States in 1883. March 1, 1886, she was united in marriage to Mr. Laug by the Rev. John H. Karsten, the ceremony being performed in Coopersville. Mr. Laug had been a neighbor of the future wife in Germany, but did not meet her until they came to this country.
- Mr. and Mrs. Laug first resided on a farm just south of town, later moving to Coopersville, which has since been their home. She was a member of the Coopersville Reformed church and of the Ladies Aid Society.
- Surviving are the husband; three sons, John A., Hy, and Herbert, all of Coopersville; one daughter, Mrs. Anna Fynewever, also of Coopersville,; one sister, Mrs. Albert Busman of Coopersville, other relatives and a host of friends gained during the many years residence in this community.
- The body was removed to the Kammeraad Funeral Home, where it remained until Saturday afternoon, when it was taken back to the home. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home and at 2:30 at the Reformed church, with burial in the Coopersville cemetery. Rev. J.H. Bruggers, pastor of the Reformed church, officiated, assisted by a former pastor, the Rev. John Van Peursem of Zeeland.

LAUG - Mrs. Harm (Grace) Laug, Jr., aged 68, Coopersville, passed away at her home Friday afternoon. Surviving are her husband; three sons, Hy, John and Herbert, all of Coopersville; one daughter, Mrs. Gordon Fynwever, fourteen grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Albert Busman of Coopersville. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home (private) and at 2:30 at the Coopersville Reformed church. Rev. J.H. Bruggers will officiate. Interment Coopersville cemetery. Arrangements by Kammeraad.
