Gottlieb Zemke was likely from Kreis Goldbeck, Bublitz, Pommern (listed as his last place of residence in daughter's marriage record)

Children: Ferdinand Zemke had a sister, Caroline Louise Dorothea Zemke, who married Albert Jahn and lived in Forest/Emerald, St Croix county.

Caroline Louise Dorothea Zemke born 8 May 1853 in Goldbeck, District Bublitz, Köslin according to her marriage record. Her father Gottlieb Zemke was deceased before October 1877 and was a ‘day laborer’ in Dorfstädt which appears to have been a manor estate in the Goldbeck. Her mother Louise Blank was still alive in 1877 and living in Dorfstädt.

Based on this, it is likely that Ferdinand Zemke was also born in Goldbeck (possibly in Dorfstädt). I have not found any other siblings so far.
