Goldie Yowell was born April 1, 1909 in Archer City, Texas to Mary Elizabeth and A.C. Dotson. She passed away December 10, 2003 in the Cheyenne Care Center, Cheyenne, Oklahoma at the age of 94 years, 8 months and 9 days. Goldie lived in Arkansas and Denver, Colorado before moving with her family to Reydon, Oklahoma where she was a member of the second graduated class from Reydon High School in 1928. Later that year, she married Lee Yowell at Anadarko, Oklahoma. They lived in Hemphill County, Texas for a short time before moving to Reydon to make their home.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Graveside services were held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 12, 2003 at White Rose Cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma, officiated by Rev. Alberta Helton. Arrangements are under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.

Survivors include 1 son, Bill Yowell of Reydon, Oklahoma; 2 grandchildren Jimmy and Darla Yowell of Canadian, Texas and Jerry and Carrie Yowell of Euless, Texas; 6 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; 1 sister Doris Jean Batchelor and husband Charles of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; 1 nice; 2 nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.
