Deed of release- Godfrey Isaacs of Frederick Co., Va., to David Ashby of Frederick Co., Va. consideration 100 pounds Virginia money- tract on north side Main Road from Buck's Marsh to Ashbys Gap willed to him by his father, Samuel Isaacs, being part of a tract of land taken up "Pattented and Possessed by him said Samuel Isaacs in his lifetime"- 192 acres.

Captain in the Revolutionary War.
Proof of his service is Revolutionary War Pension record of Matthew Sparks #S31385 states that he served under Captain Godfrey isaacs. Captain Isaacs commanded a company of mounted Rangers in Wilkes County, North Carolina, during the Revolutionary War. They marched through the lower part of the States in search of Tories. The application papers listed Captain Isaacs father as Samuel Isaacs whose will was probated March 4, 1760. Recorded in Frederick County, Virginia, Will Book 2, pages 376-377. Names Godfrey Isaacs as one of his sons.
