YACOLT, Wash. --- Glen Edward Rainbolt, 65, Yacolt, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000, at his home.
Mr. Rainbolt retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1983. He was a fighter pilot for the Air Force and Oregon Air National Guard and was a Vietnam veteran..
He was born Dec. 14, 1934, in Garfield, Kan., the son of Walter G. and Nellie Bernatzki Rainbolt.
He married Golda Plesner in 1986 in Stevenson, Wash. She survives.
Survivors also include three daughters, Rosemary Rainbolt, Tualatin, Ore., and Christine Soler and Jill Silvas, both of Aloha, Ore.; one stepdaughter, Dorothy Smith, Wilder, Vt.; one son, Douglas Rainbolt, Portland, Ore.; two stepsons, Wesley Thrasher, Dallas, and George Thrasher, Panama City, Fla.; six sisters, Clara Stewart, Meriden, Kan., Mildred Stone, Midland, Texas; Sherry Vanter, Burlingame, Kan., Linda Colhow, Harveyville, Kan., Rosemary Feister, Titusville, Fla., and Diane Annette, Osage City, Kan.; his former wife, Doris Rainbolt, Beaverton, Ore.; and eight grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Layne's Funeral Home Chapel, Battle Ground, Wash. Burial will follow in Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, Ore.
