Gladys had a hard life when she growing up per a letter from Elgar Westfall. She was a Christian Science member when Ellen B. was born. On Gram's notes her birth year is written in pen as 1898 and crossed out to write in pencil 1900. Nepesta is supposedly near Denver.

Kenneth lived as a King from the time that he moved in with Gladys (Westfall) King but was never legally adopted. His father abanded him and I believe that his mother died early. His father Archie Newby was Gladys' half brother.

   On original DC Blanche later changed the place of birth by circling it and stating "not correct" and correcting the birth year to 1889 in pen. She told me that Gladys did not want to be born in the 19th century but in the 20th Century so she lied about her birth year.
