GLADYS K. WARDWELL, 93, died Feb. 19 in Canon City. Services were Feb. 24; the body was cremated. Born in Chicago. Married Robert Wardwell, 1928. Pianist. President, Colorado Federation of Music Clubs. Survivors: son Robert of Colorado Springs; daughter Trudy of Westcliffe; sister Margaret Rebbeck of Colorado Springs; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Gladys K. Wardwell, a prominent piano teacher, soloist and accompanist who presented music programs for more than 50 years in Colorado Springs, died Sunday at a care center in Canon City. She was 93. A graduate of Colorado Springs High School, Mrs. Wardwell attended Colorado College and studied music for six years at the Julliard School of Music in New York City.
