Gilbert F Overmyer Feb. 25, 1920 -- July 7, 2003

Gilbert F Overmyer, 83, of Fremont, died Monday at Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Fremont to Clyde and Lillian (Draves) Overmyer. He marri ed Bernadette (Widman) on March 6, 1943, in St. Joseph's Rectory. She surv ives.

Mr. Overmyer was a lifelong farmer, belonging to the Sandusky CO Farm Bure au and H.L.M.O Orbiteers Farm Council.

Also surviving are sons Bernie Overmyer and Chip (Cathy) Overmyer; daughte r-in-law Jeanie Overmyer, all of Fremont; and grandchildren Jeff Overmye r, Joel and Rachel Rospert, Julie and Alesha Overmyer, all of Fremont, J ay (Amanda) Overmyer of Athens, Ga., and great-granddaughter Gretta Overmy er of Athens, Ga.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Joe Overmyer on March 25, 200 2, sister Lorna Overmyer and brothers Russell and LaMar Overmyer.

Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Ho me, 900 N St.

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where the body will l ie in state for one hour prior to the service.

Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery.

Memorials: To charity of donor's choice.
