1842 - Bellevue Cemetery is established in Gatineau (formerly Aylmer), Quebec (GPS: 45.407301,-75.785118) on land donated by Gideon Olmstead. In this cemetery a stone was erected by Sarah (Olmstead) Sparks in memory of her parents, but they are not thought to be buried there.

    9147, Gideon; b. at West Stockbridge, Mass., abt. 1764-66; d. at Northville, N. Y., soon after 1791; m. at Stockbridge, Mass., Feb., 1788, Esther Andrews; prob. dau. of Jeremiah and Sarah (Bryant) Andrews. He removed with his brother, Jeremiah, to Hope, N. Y., but soon settled in the adjoining town of Northampton, where he died soon after his settlement. His death is the first recorded in that town.
