I made two mistakes when I transcribed the letter. When the letter says the shields and arms of the Hastings family. The magnicicient and stately castle founded in the reign of King Edward (should say King Edward IV) by Sir Williams Hastings (I told you captured baron----should say (afterward Baron)---- I thought the ( was a C. I need to write this out and keep it, it is so hard to read. I surely hope you come up with something on this letter. I would be thrilled to pieces about it!! Good luck. Brenda P.S.
