He was inducted into U.S. Army Feb 1943 where he became a Co-pilot on a B 26 and flew 30 missions in Europe. He was released from the Army in Dec 1945 as a 2nd Lieutenant. He was employed at the Waterman, Illinois Post Office and was also self employed in field, yard and tree spraying.
