(p. 161) L-102, 9 Dec 1797 Between George Adam Circle and Elizabeth his wife of County of Shenandoah to GEORGE HOUBERT of same County...120 pounds...land on northwesterly side of the North River of Shenandoah (part of a tract of 260 acres formerly granted to Robert Oneal by deed from Proprietors office 21 July 1760 and by several conveyances the land became property of said George Adam Circle...part of tract of land granted to said Cricle for 369 acres by patent 23 July 1787...containing 60 acres of land the same said Circle intended to give to his said daughter Catherine the wife of James McCarty and whereas said Jonas McCarty sold the said 60 acres to said George HOUBERT therefore to confirm such sale the said Circle maketh this deed to HOUBERT at the request of Jonas McCarty and Catherine his wife.
