(NRO PD 338/13) 1851 - Living in the Street, North Lopham with wife, three unmarried daughters and a servant. Farmer of 176 acres, employing 6 men and 3 boys. 1856 - Presumed to be the "Mr WHARTON" who paid rent of £2 4s 0d - extracted example from North Lopham Churchwardens' Book. Retired farmer, aged 87, born at South Lopham. 1871 - Living in North Lopham (farmer) when he died. Death registered in Guiltcross. Will with a codicil proved at Norwich on 11 July 1871 by Mary Ann WHARTON, daughter spinster, sole surviving executor. |
