[edit] NotesGeorge Vansandt bought some items at estate sales 1805 and 1807 in Greene County. George Vansandt was the 1820 census of Franklin County, Tennessee on which he was listed age 45, wife-45, one boy-10, two-16, and three girls-10. They next appeared on the 1830 census Giles County, Tennessee. He was listed age 50, wife-50, one boy-5, one boy-10, one boy -15, and two girls-5, one girl-10, one girl-15 Then on the 1840 census of Wayne County, Tennessee. George was 60, wife-60, one boy-10, one boy -20, and one girl-5, one girl-10, one girl-15, one girl-20. Three married sons, Isaiah, James and Thomas T. were on the same census living near their parents. George Van Zandt (Vansandt) was a methodist minister and was mentioned in "History of Methodism in Tennessee". He was recorded as a minister in Giles County in 1827. "Rev. Mr. VanZandt officiated at the wedding of John O.C. Wilson and Marhta Hull at Waynesboro, Tennessee." According to the census count 1820 thru 1840 George and Elizabeth Van Zandt had a total of fourteen children. Six children are known. (Source: "Our Dutch Ancestors"}
