"A memorial of John, Henry, and Richard Townsend, and their descendants", pg. 156:

GEORGE Townsend, SON OF JOHN 1st, Was born after his father came to Oyster Bay, in 1661. He inherited the homestead in South Street, and, with his brother James, owned a tract of land at Norwich, to which place they gave that name. He died in the winter of 1697, in "the great sickness," so called for more than seventy, years afterwards. He was married, November 17, 1684, to Mary Hawxhurst.

—Issue, Sarah, George, Eichard, and Samuel.

Sarah married Thomas Weeks, which is all that is known of her.
